Fruit Tree Project

Yes! There is lots of fruit available in the St. John’s area (and everywhere in Newfoundland and Labrador).

We coordinate fruit picks at houses with excess fruit that would otherwise go to waste. Eating local fresh organic food has come such a long way in recent years, and reducing food waste is so important.

Here is how it works:
– FEASt will organize pick dates at the owners’ property, volunteers sign-up online
– FEASt provides the equipment (ladders, fruit pickers, picking bags, clippers)
– The harvest is divided 3 ways: the owner and the pickers each get 1/3, and the remaining third is donated to a local food sharing organization

Sign up as a Volunteer Picker:

Volunteers will be contacted when there are opportunities to sign up for fruit harvests.
