Dan Rubin of Perfectly Perennial Herbs and Seeds in Pouch Cove will be running his excellent workshop on year-round gardening this Sunday, May 6th, from 9:30 to 4:00, at the lovely Points East Bed and Breakfast.
Gardeners of all skill and experience levels are welcome to come learn how raised beds, cloches, cold frames, tunnels, row covers, and greenhouses can help create a four-season vegetable garden right here on the Avalon. Learn about plant selection, seeding, soil enrichment, intensive planting, and using protective structures to extend your growing season.
The cost of the workshop is $45; this includes lunch, hands-on activities, group discussions, and a tour of local backyard gardens.
